The impact of ‘Telework Day’/远程办公日
In anticipation of severe transit congestion due to high intercity traffic during the London 2012 Summer Olympics & Paralympics, London’s transport system called for alternate workstyles such as teleworking (a.k.a. telecommuting). Many companies and residents took part in this movement and began teleworking. As a result, in addition to avoiding traffic congestion during the London 2012 Summer Olympics & Paralympics, companies that implemented telework developed infrastructure for business continuity, reported a rise in employee productivity and satisfaction, and improvements to work-life balance.
2012年，伦敦奥运会及残奥会时，因预测市中心地区会在会期因游客激增导致交通混乱而给市民的日常通勤造成困扰。伦敦市交通局等机构因此而开始呼吁市民更多尝试远程办公（teleworking）以减少通勤从而缓解交通压力。
各类宣传和试行的结果，不仅是成功地在伦敦奥运会及残奥会期间，使城市的交通压力得到极大缓解；引进远程办公制度的企业也借此契机构筑并完善其业务延续性计划（Business Continuity Plan，简称BCP），促进了生产力的同时更让员工对于公司的满意度也得以提升。而从员工处，也得到了因为可以远程办公而让自己可以更好地平衡工作与生活等正面反馈。

テレワーク・デイズ
2012年に開催されたロンドンオリンピック・パラリンピックでは、
交通混雑によりロンドン市内での通勤に混乱が生じるとの予測から、ロンドン市交通局がテレワーク等の活用を呼び掛け、これに企業や市民が賛同する形でたくさんの企業がテレワークを導入しました。
結果として、ロンドンオリンピック・パラリンピック会期中の交通混雑を回避できたことに加え、テレワークを導入した企業では、事業継続体制の確立、生産性や従業員満足の向上、ワークライフバランスの改善等の成果が得られたと報告されました。

Communication is a powerful tool
Communication can be a powerful tool especially when combined with a proactive and positive attitude.
Learning a new language is not just memorizing vocabulary and words; it’s about opening up your mind to a whole new perspective on life.
When you’re open to learning, not only English but, learning anything, you’re more likely to see opportunities arise. Those can be business opportunities, new friendships and even relationships, etc.

例えば釣り、農業、登山、旅行、皇居ラン、食べ歩き、コーヒー挽き、猫の写真、車、電車、音楽などなど、バラエティに富んだ趣味の話が、周囲で繰り広げられています。
また社員の約2割が外国籍であるため、日本語以外の言語を用いて会話している姿をよく見かけます。

日々感じるのは、空気がとてもおいしい場所だということです。

Why telework(telecommuting) is becoming important to Japan?
The world has witnessed Japan successfully transform herself from a land of ruins after WWII to a prosperous, highly developed country, with an amazing growth rate in her GDP for decades throughout 1960s to 1980s.
It once seems to be unthinkable that a super economic power like Japan would be facing several severe problems in her economy, and starting her steps to decline, mainly caused by the ‘burst of bubble’ and worsened by its low birth rate together with a constantly growing population of aging people.
