In the previous article, we shared his impressions of the Japanese office environment and its culture. In this installment, we will delve deeper into the interactions and learnings that took place during his visit.
2. Interactions and Learnings with the Team
The heart of this trip was undoubtedly the people. The level of inclusion was overwhelming; we were invited by almost every team to join their gatherings and parties.
Technical Mentorship:
I am deeply grateful to Y-san. He provided me with invaluable technical insights into AWS and IAM structures. Beyond the technical training, he went above and beyond by introducing me to his entire team and taking us out to experience authentic Sushi and Ramen, which allowed for a deeper connection beyond the code.
Also, I was able to attend various meetings where I got the opportunity to learn more on future goals and targets.
Strategic Discussions:
I had wonderful opportunities to discuss a wide range of topics with S-san, R-san along with K-san. These conversations were intellectually stimulating and helped align our shared goals.
A Memorable Birthday:
One of the most emotional highlights of the trip was celebrating my birthday. The celebrations actually started early with a pre-birthday cake cutting at B-san’s home—a gesture that made me feel like part of the family. On my actual birthday, I was overwhelmed to be wished by so many e-Jan members. A special thanks to T-san, who brought me chocolates; it was a truly touching moment that I will never forget.
Support and Farewell:
B-san was a pillar of support throughout our entire stay, ensuring we had everything we needed. It was also a privilege to attend the team’s farewell party for M-san, which showed me the strong emotional bonds and loyalty within the Japanese teams.
Shared Moments:
Whether it was the Obento lunch*2 with the whole e-Jan team or the evening party hosted by O-san and his team, every interaction was a learning moment. These gatherings allowed for "various discussions" that broke down silos and built genuine friendship.
*2 This lunch event is where participants who wish to join gather in person during the one-hour lunch break.

今回は、訪問中に生まれた「人との交流」や「学び」について、より深くお伝えします。
2. チームとの交流と学び
今回の旅の中心にあったのは、間違いなく「人」でした。驚くほど温かく迎えていただき、ほぼすべてのチームが私たちを食事や集まりに誘ってくれました。
技術的な学び:
Yさんには本当に感謝しています。AWSやIAMの構造について貴重な技術的知見を丁寧に教えていただきました。それだけでなく、チーム全員を紹介してくださり、本物の寿司やラーメンを食べに連れていってくれるなど、技術を超えて深い交流が生まれました。
また、さまざまな会議にも参加させていただき、今後の目標や方向性について学ぶ機会も得られました。
戦略的な議論:
Sさん、Rさん、そしてKさんとも幅広いテーマについて話すことは、とても刺激的な時間でした。おかげで両社（e-Jan と CIPL）の目指す方向性をより深く共有できたと感じています。
忘れられない誕生日:
今回の滞在で最も心に残ったハイライトは、私の誕生日のお祝いでした。まずはBさんのご自宅で、前祝いとしてケーキカットをしていただき、まるで家族のように感じられる温かい時間でした。誕生日当日には、多くの e-Jan メンバーからお祝いの言葉をいただきました。特にTさんからチョコレートをいただいたことは、一生忘れない思い出です。
滞在中のサポートと送別会:
滞在中、Bさん は常に私たちを支えてくれ、本当に必要なすべてを整えてくださいました。また、Mさんの送別会にも参加することができ、日本のチームの強い絆と温かい文化を感じました。
共有した時間:
参加したランチミーティング*2や、Oさんのチームによる懇親会など、一つひとつの交流が学びの時間となりました。こうした集まりは、組織の壁を越え、真の友情を築く機会となりました。
